PR Tips 101: Ode to Oprah week- Living Your Best Life

There has been extensive research done on the usefulness of having a mantra. Beyond stress reduction, I think a mantra is a great way to keep you focused on what you really value. Oprah has a fairly well known mantra, “live your best life”. Although this seems like such a simple idea, I am pretty sure we all make mediocre choices on a daily basis when we could be risking more, pushing ourselves further or just deciding to hold ourselves to a higher standard. This mantra is relevant past our social and personal lives. Are you conducting you business in the best way possible? Are you being the best business owner you can be? Are you consistently trying to make choices and changes to improve it? You owe it to yourself and your clients to make this mantra your own. To live your best life, you need to view things more holistically. You must take into account the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual components of your life. Below are some images of ways Oprah has encouraged her viewers to take positive steps in living their best lives. When Whitney Houston was on the show, coming clean about her past and triumphantly parading into the future happier, healthier and making music once again. She is a great example of someone taking inventory of their current situation and choosing to make  it a point to live their best life.

  1. I loved the coverage of the womens trip to Miraval spa. It was so inspiring to see the women overcome some of their emotional baggage from the past.

  2. Out of all of Oprah’s book club books, Eat Pray Love is by far my favorite. I absolutely loved getting lost in Elizabeth’s travels and took tons of notes which I find adaptable and relevant to my life. Thank you for the continued inspiration!!! Your blog is a must read for me!
