PR Tip 101: Regardless of the situation in business, always act with class

“Regardless of the situation, always act with class”

I read this inspiring quote recently and it really struck a chord with me. Everyone at some point in time has been bullied or embarrassed by things that other people have done or said. The kicker is who you are isn’t who they say you are; who you are is how you react. Sometimes you just have to brush it off, or “kill it with kindness.” This applies to business as well as personal. If there’s competition out there react with class, don’t slander the competition, embrace it and use it as a challenge to better your business, product, or self!

Sad to say it’s not a perfect world, and in our  industry, there are people that weigh us down and may take advantage of us. In these cases, it may just be best to cut ties and let them go. But even in a situation like that it’s important to keep your class!  Although a person may  slander, gossip or try to sabotage you with their words, it doesnt mean we have the right to do it back. Get mad!! But then turn the other cheek!  Keep your chin up and your attitude high and don’t give anyone something to talk about. It’s definitely the harder thing to do, but over time it’ll pay off ten times over. Let them be who they are. If that means they show a less then respectable side of themselves by excluding others, trying to take business, or say an unkind word, that’s on them! Be you and be kind, no matter what. Karma has a way of making its rounds : )

  1. I am a strong believer in karma, so always remember this before retaliating when somebody is unkind, a smile iback to this person is by far better than responding with cruel words and certainly stops them in their tracks!
