Invites – No need to have them custom designed or spend a ton of money on them! Sites like Minted have tons of cute, pre-designed options that you can input your information into and they’ll even print your envelopes! Chances are they offer a design that fits your theme perfectly! An inexpensive way to make a great first impression!

Decor – With all the Pinterest worthy showers out there, it can be hard to create something that looks as cute on your own. But you have everything that you need! Use items from around your house (or your friends!) to create fun seating vignettes, like they did at this “Happy Hour” bridal shower, for opening presents and cute table displays. Head to your local flower market and pick up some pretty blooms to really make it pop!

Food – Keep it simple! If you are throwing the shower yourself, food can add up, so try to pick something everyone will like but that is also easy for you! Build your own paninis or salads just require you to buy the ingredients and the guests can make their own!

Drinks – Make a DIY station that doubles as a beverage and an activity for everyone! If you’re doing brunch, set up a ‘mix your own mimosa’ station – grab 3 different kinds of juice, some bubbly and fresh fruits and berries. For an evening party, a ‘muddle your own cocktail’ station is a great alternative. Get some spirits, herbs such as basil and mint, a few muddling sticks and mixers and you’ve got yourself a bar!

Games – Here’s where you can get creative! Play something that gets everyone involved but that’s not too cheesy. You can make up your own version of Taboo using wedding words like Bride, Groom, Dress, etc. make teams and have a prize for the winning team! Play The Newlywed Game and ask the bride a series of questions that the groom has already answered like “Where was your first kiss?” and see how many she gets right!
