Christmas is Ashley and Alejandro’s absolute favorite time of year and they had always known they wanted to have photos taken around the holidays. They live in the West Village, so it made sense to use their cozy neighborhood as the backdrop. We love how they incorporated buying their Christmas tree (and walking it home) into the engagement session! One of our favorite things is hearing how newly engaged couple met so we were excited that Ashley filled us in!
From Ashley: I met Alejandro when we were both living in Philadelphia. Believe it or not, I actually found his ID in a crosswalk on the streets. I sent him a message on Facebook to see if he wanted me to send it back to him, but instead he asked if I would like to meet at Starbucks to exchange the ID for a coffee. A few days later I met up with him and after two hours of non-stop talking and laughter, I left Starbucks in love (and with a $93 parking ticket since I had only parked in 20 minute parking)! The rest is history! A year and a half later we got engaged in Paris and we will be getting married next September in DC with one of your Be Inspired Tastemakers A Simply Chic Event.
